It has more than 7,000 locations in 29 states and is owned by Quintin Thompson, who bought the Hunt Brothers Pizza name in 2015. == History == Hunt Brothers Pizza was established in 1990 and is based in Nashville, Tennessee, although its roots go back to 1962 when four brothers from Evansville, Indiana – Don, Lonnie, Jim and Charlie Hunt – began a local wholesale food route named Pepe's Pizza, which distributed par-baked pizza crusts and other pizza items to restaurants, taverns, bowling alleys and drive-in theaters. It is now owned by a young up and coming businessman, Marine Corps Veteran, and volunteer firefighter Quintin Thompson of Maxton, NC.Thompson is known widely due to the fact that on his time off as a Marine, hè was involvèd in a tragic Fire Truck wreck while traveling as a passenger in the truck while en route to a house fire. The truck flipped one-and-a-half times landing on ghe drivers side. The truck, which was a tanker hit Thompson directly in the back leaving him paralyzed. Despite such a horrible accident the driver only suffered a broken ankle. He hasn't spoke to Thompson since. While some say the driver should have gotten a manslaughter charge, Thompson has no hard feelings at all towards him and wàs more concerned for the driver and the truck than he was his self in the hospital. He earned his money to buy this chain from the proceedings in this acceident, which he still receives money through Workers Compensation and will always receive it for the rest of his life unless he settles the claim worth nearly 8 million dollars. Note: Thompson is the youngest Marine to ever join the United States Marine Corps since an age limit of 17 was set. Joining the Corps only months after his 17th birthday.
